Is it possible for the worst singer in the world to become the best singer if they have unlimited time?
. asked:
Okay, when I watch things such as the X Factor and sort, occasionally a person from a year before comes back saying they’re much ‘better’ that they’ve got singing lessons, but still sound nearly as bad as before.

So, is it possible for the worst singer in the world to become the best (Or at least quite good) singer in the world if they have an unlimited time to practice it, and have the best singing teacher?
Or is perfect singing a gift only a few possess?

In my opinion, almost any singer or musician can become ‘better’ when they have the right backing and resources. There have been countless bands and performers over the years that if one were to hear them outside of a studio you would think, “Man, don’t quit your day job!” There are numerous performers who don’t write their own music, rely on mixers to ‘improve’ or ‘polish’ their talents. It is true that you have to have some base talent to survive in the industry, but get the right people behind you and there is no way to go but up. Remember too, that there are so many other variables involved in the recording industry. A persons talent is but a part of it. Marketing has got to be the biggest tool in a performers success. Again, this is just my opinion. Based on what I have seen throughout the music industry. Having been in close proximity, at times, to some pretty big names. Everybody is waiting on that ‘big break’, or the right person to hear them. So if you’re planning on a career, good luck to you. It’s a long way to the top, if you want to rock ‘n roll!
surely it can.It all depends on luck of dat person.
I agree with Joel A, but I’d like to add that talent isn’t everything. Many and I mean many recording companies want looks. You have to be talented and attractive. So yes you could naturally be the best, but if you aren’t pretty you aren’t going far.
Some like myself have an enact talent for singing which requires limited amount attention, but in order to “HON” the singing talent, you have to practice in order to “PER-FECT” singing. If you are not a true singer, the best way to learn is to join a choir where you can learn to differentiate between notes and gain a sense of singing while harmonizing. A lot of people in my choir do not have the “EAR” for music but they love singing. PS: Some of the worst singers in the music industry have hit records and I believe it is because they basically have the *** appeal and the stage appearance to be great performers. So, get a great producer to back your music and he can perform all kinds of tricks with his equipment to make you have the best vocals possible….KEEP ON SINGING!
