What to wear to a music festival?

I’m going to Homebake in Sydney (yay!) at the beginning of december. I’ve never been to a music festival before. Even though it only goes for one day, it’s about 12 hours long and it’s going to be verrry hot (summer here in Oz). So my question is, if you have been to a music festival, what did you wear? I want to be comfortable, and I’m a bit worried about getting sun burnt. But we are planning on going clubbing afterwards so I’m having trouble finding an outfit that will suit both.

or
wear short shorts and a top
or adress
and bring a spare dress or top for later
and heels
u can rent lockers
and u wanna look hot
try finding a shirt with the bands name or logo on it. (if not, black is always hot) cut it up, make it sexy & wear jeans, sneakers, some earrings, bracelets & a headband that match it. you wanna go for the cute, sexy, comfy look cuz you will be on your feet a lot & you should be cute & sexy no matter where you prance baby
